8.7.5 Steps to set the IP Stack 3xDES Select Key to ClearRoute Table
8.7.5.1 Do these steps for Satellite Modem CDM-IP 1:
1. From the CLI Main Menu, type R to go to the Route Table submenu.
2. Enter
1 to configure the first route.
3. Enter a meaningful name (e.g., ‘test’).
4. Set the IP Address to 172.17.10.0
5. Set the
Number of Subnet Bits to 24
6. Select S for Interface to which the route is destined, <E-Ethernet S-Satellite Enter : S>
7. Type E to go to Per Route.
8. Select
No to disable each of these options: HdrCompression and PayloadCompression.
9. Select Clear to disable 3xDES.
8.7.5.2 Do these steps for Satellite Modem (CDM-IP) 2:
10. From the CLI Main Menu, type R to go to the Route Table submenu.
11. Enter
1 to configure the first route.
12. Enter a meaningful name (e.g., ‘test’)
13. Set the IP Address to 172.16.10.0
14. Set the
Number of Subnet Bits to 24
15. Select S for Interface to which route is destined to <E-Ethernet S-Satellite Enter : S>.
16. Type E to go to Per Route.
17. Select

19. From the CLI Main Menu, type R to go to the Route Table submenu.
20. Enter 1 to configure the first route.
21. Enter a meaningful name (e.g., ‘ToCDMIP2’).
22. Set the
IP Address to 172.17.10.0
23. Set the Number of Subnet Bits to 24
24. Set the
Next-hop IP Address to 172.16.10.1
For this example, the CDD-564A/L Demodulator 3 Route Table shows this data:

25. If the Header Decompression Feature is available on this demodulator, do these steps:
a. From the
CLI Main Menu, type A to go to the Administration submenu.
b. From the Administration submenu, type F to go to the Features Configuration submenu.
c. From the Features Configuration submenu, type H to select RxHeaderCompression.
d. Type
1 to disable Header Decompression on Demod 1.
